A Girl … a Pink Hat … and Tortilla Flat.
While vacationing in Arizona recently, I happened to pass through a dusty little town called, “Tortilla Flat”. This tiny town was a stage coach stop in the early 1900’s. It’s located in the Tonto National Forest and the Superstition mountain range about 50 miles east of Phoenix.
Having heard that Tortilla Flat was known for “killer” chili and prickly pear ice cream, I decided to stop there and check things out. I didn’t get the hot chili but I did sample a generous serving of prickly pear ice cream. That was a first for me and it was delicious.
A little while later, while browsing around this quaint little town, I spotted a pretty girl in a pink cowboy hat. She agreed to let me take her picture. This is the result:
